Racing under way at Wilsonian
The new season at Wilsonian began with the traditional Ice Breaker trophy race on Sunday 27th March. After a week of perfect, sunny weather the morning instead dawned with fog and cool temperatures. Visibility cleared in time for the midday start and a longish course down river was set for the mixed fleet. The good breeze with wind over tide made for some lumpy conditions at times but suited the ALTOs who crossed the finish line less than two minutes apart and took 1st and 2nd on corrected time.
